SAF Creative NetworksWe are always on the look out for opportunities to create new networks to meet our members' needs. We are happy to consider the creation of a new networks, or to re-invent networks which have characteristics of our past projects. Do get in touch if you see anything you like or have any ideas that you would like to share! Current SAF networks include:
SAF has coordinated a variety of networks over the years. For example... Our Film and Photography network supported creative practitioners working within a specific media. This network provided professional development, opportunities for networking, career development advice, a platform to show member work and receive peer critique. Our SE15 network focused on supporting artists within a specific geographic area. This network was set up to support creative people working in the arts and creative industries within the Nunhead and Peckham area. Events were an opportunity to meet like-minded people, discuss new ideas, share information and find out what's on in the area.
The Creative Solidarity network was a series of networking events run by a group of creative practitioners in collaboration with SAF. Aims of the initiative included bringing people from different areas of the creative industries together to better understand the practice of others, to share experiences, to discuss developments and to provide support to emerging and established artists. The network provided a peer-led learning forum, opportunities for discussion, personal and professional development.
We have also run networking events in partnership with other groups such as artists working with children and young people, The Big Dance and South London Women Artists
We are currently looking to develop new partnerships with organisations or companies who might like to sponsor a creative network. Sponsors gain marketing and promotional opportunities within these SAF networks. This sponsorship allows SAF to offer allow a varied and frequent schedule events.
